About Me

My relationship with grief is personal and ever-evolving. I have known grief in many forms: anticipatory grief, the loss of loved ones, the end of relationships, the closing of chapters, and shifts in identity and sense of self. These experiences have deepened my capacity for compassion and patience, and broadened my understanding of resilience. Having moved through these challenges allows me to be present with others in the discomfort of letting go of what was and in creating space for what is yet to come.

In my clinical work, I have had the privilege of supporting oncology patients and their families through seismic life changes and their most tender, vulnerable emotions. This work expanded my ability to sit with others as they confront existential questions about life, death, purpose, love, and what it means to be human. With each client I encounter as a therapist, my understanding of loss, love, and resilience continues to deepen.

Grief can feel lonely and isolating. Through both lived and clinical experience, I have learned that the deepest healing comes through connection, community and sharing. Therapy offers a space to move through grief in the presence of support, to be seen and heard, and to explore vulnerability and connection safely.

Training & Experience

My training includes evidence based approaches such as Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Prolonged Grief Disorder Therapy, and trauma informed therapy. I earned my undergraduate degree at the University of Washington and my Master of Social Work from Columbia University, training that shaped my approach to mental health counseling in high pressure, complex, and diverse settings.

I have supported clients through pivotal and often painful life moments across the lifespan. This includes working with students in a low income New York City public high school navigating exclusion, trauma, burnout, and high functioning anxiety, as well as providing grief support and bereavement counseling to patients and families at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center during illness and end of life transitions. More recently, I have worked as a private practice therapist within a Seattle based group practice, offering individual therapy and couples therapy to adults and teens navigating grief, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. These experiences continue to shape my belief that even in life’s hardest seasons, there is room for connection, meaning making, and growth.
